Linus Torvalds and Marc Andreesen Among Speakers at ISPcon

The ISPcon show kicks off on Monday, September 28 with a golf tournament at the San Juan Oaks Golf Club, but the schedule gets down to business on Tuesday morning with keynote presentations from John Sidgmore of WorldCom, Don Listwin of Cisco, Jack Rickard of Boardwatch Magazine, Marc Andreesen of Netscape and John C. Dvorak of Boardwatch Magazine.
Thorvalds and Andreesen will share a stage Tuesday afternoon for a discussion of Linux and the open-source business model of the future. Later in the day, other sessions will focus on inverse multiplexing for ATM, how DSL can expand an ISP's customer base and some routing techniques that can alleviate backbone congestion.
More than 170 presentations are planned on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The exhibit hall will occupy more than 50,000 feet in the San Jose Convention Center from Tuesday through Thursday.
