Reverse Funnel and Global Resorts Network Creates Massive Confusion to Many
November 12, 2008 nnyq.com editThe Reverse Funnel System is a marketing tool that Global Resorts Network Member Affiliates can utilize to market the GRN business opportunity. It’s designed to be an automated system whereby a member advertises “the Funnel”, which is a sales page enticing the viewer to enter their information and send in $50 with an application for the opportunity to work with Ty Coughlin in generating massive amounts of money almost overnight.
While The Reverse Funnel System is listed as a approved marketing tool by Global Resorts Network, GRN has nothing further to do with it.
Here’s where the confusion lies.
1) An Affiliate Member advertises The Reverse Funnel website and sales page to capture leads and the lead has to pay $50 and fill out an application on the representation that if their application is reviewed and accepted by Ty Coughlin, then they will have the opportunity to work with him and learn to make thousands of dollars online. There’s no mention of Global Resorts Network. It appears as though it’s a training camp with Ty to become an internet marketing guru.
2) The automated emails that are generated over the next few days to those leads, assures them that their application is still under review (however it’s really not, and furthermore, Ty Coughlin never sees the application).
3) The automated emails tell the lead to join Global Resorts Network as that’s a product that Ty is marketing and they need to do the same thing.
4) The lead purchases the $2,995 platinum membership
5) The lead now, may or may not hear anything from their sponsor and so far as they know, the Reverse Funnel System is Global Resorts Network.
At this point, here’s what happens. The lead, who is now a Global Resorts Network Member Affiliate, thinks that GRN is the Reverse Funnel System. In their mind they can’t separate the two. They believe that they now have to pay ongoing monthly fees to participate in the GRN business and advertise the Reverse Funnel System website.
In interviewing several GRN Member Affiliates who were introduced to the business through The Reverse Funnel, they naturally assumed that everyone did it this way and this was the protocol for GRN marketing. More often than not, they were uphappy with the end results.
Many times these individuals didn’t even know who their sponsor or upline was nor what the heck they were to do next. Further, many sponsors never called to welcome their new business partners and answer questions and help them to get started in business as the RFS said would happen.
So basically, hundreds of people that have joined the Reverse Funnel System have been hung out to dry and left abandoned.
In defense of a few, there are some responsible and caring individuals who use the Reverse Funnel System and make sure they communicate with their new business partners.
To clear up any confusion, Global Resorts Network is the business and the product is the lifetime luxury travel club membership. A GRN member can choose to market their business any way they want and do not have to use the Reverse Funnel System. The RFS is strictly a marketing system that any GRN member can use if they choose. The cost of using the RFS is $299 a month for the lease of the sales letter, then an additional $34.95 a month for the contact management system. This does not include any advertising costs.
For those individuals who are introduced to Global Resorts Network and come in by way of the Reverse Funnel System, they do not have to purchase the RFS and market that way. All GRN affiliates are independent home business owners and have the choice of using or not using the RFS. For those that have bought into the RFS and are not happy with the results, they can cancel the system anytime. This has no bearing on their Global Resorts Network business.
Global Resorts Network has other approved marketing systems that are in the field, not just The Reverse Funnel System.
